This thing is telling me I need a self-summary. I don't know what to put here. I'm 23, I'm going to college but still not entirely sure what I want to major in, and I've been told I'm quite the smartass. I sing in the car... badly... and don't care if people in other cars see me. However, getting me to sing in public or with the radio off is like pulling teeth. Most people who know me think I have ADD. I'm something of an optimistic pessimist if that makes sense. You'd probably have to get to know me and figure things out on your own to find out much more; like a lot of people I'm horrible at describing myself.

A little about me... I am a mother of a 21 year old son. In measuring my life I am proud of being a Mom. My son is my greatest accomplishment in life. He is a good and decent human being so I guess I did my job well.

I am a Social Studies teacher at a magnet school in Denver. Being a teacher and a Mom is what defines me. Though, I must admit I am in transition, a bit, because being a Mom is not what primarily defines me anymore (he's moved out)... and I don't want to have my work as the defining element of my life. So I guess I'm at loose ends on that front...

My real passion is politics and government. My MA is in Political Science and that is my area of continued interest. I read a lot and I am quite informed on the issues of the day, week, month, decade.

I am a complicated person with many (sometimes conflicting) layers to me. :) Which all people should be able to say if they were introspective about themselves. I seek to know and understand myself... it is a great foundation for trying to understanding others. :)

What I seek is much harder to find.... I am seeking the real life, touch-each-other-in-joy variety of relationship. What I want in my life is that kind of relationship where so much is communicated in a look or a soft touch. I want someone who doesn't get angry when I call in the middle of the night because I can't sleep. Someone who gets as much joy from my joy as I get from theirs. This type of relationship is built upon really knowing each other and wanting to know more.

I'm from Central America I'm 27 years of age, I went to HS and college in CO, I like riding my motorcycle I have a Suzuki GSX 600f. I also like working out and hanging out with friends. I like to have fun and drink but with moderation. People say I'm too serious all the time but that's only if you don't know me. Well where start....I am a Colorado native, I love this state, could never think of moving away from here. I work in the home health care field, sometimes my job can be a bit hectic and put in some long hours, but at the end of the day I really love my job, being able to help others is the most gratifying end of my job.

Grew up here in Colorado up in Fort Collins, but now I live in Denver. I work for the Colorado army national guard fixing helicopters. I plan on finishing maintenance school this year for civilians and a few years down the road start working towards getting my commercial pilots license.

Maybe I do a little too much serious thinking, but I think I'm much better off because of it in the end. I can't help considering our time here to be very precious and that squandering it is a tragedy. One day I looked around at my coworkers and realized that not a single one of them needed to be there - all (myself included) were there by choice. For many I think it was a product of fear or a choice of default. I thought about what it would be like if all I had to show for myself after 10 years was a title, having not produced or created a single thing, having nothing to be proud of. Then I thought about the musical ability that I had been in the process of unraveling for several years but had recently been neglecting. I decided it was unfair to myself to allow my gifts to go to waste, and to at least not try to exercise them. I believe the circumstances are in my favor because I believe there isn't a single musical skill beyond my ability. Anything I don't "know" how to do now is only something I haven't learned or realize how to do yet. So far my experience has given me no reason to believe anything otherwise.
There is a point to all of this though, being a musician isn't an end in itself. My greatest desire is to be able to somehow use my music as a vehicle to speak out in favor of expanding the limitations our society imposes on consciousness, perception, and expression. I think this problem is the worst threat humanity faces, worse than overpopulation, climate change, or anything like that, and that it is the cause of the worst disasters we bring upon ourselves, the tragic cycles of warfare, starvation, poverty, and inequality. I want to call attention to the fact that the 150 years of our Industrial society represents only a blip out of 3 million years of humanity and that many of the "truths that we hold to be self evident" may merit another look. We are desperately disconnected from the natural world and the life that shares the planet with us, and this causes us to be disconnected from spirituality, which can only come from communion with and being enveloped by nature.
I think there's much more around us than a playground for suburb-dwellers. I think the world has a lot more to offer us than that and that it's worthwhile to go out and look for it

I've realized how boring this profile sounds, especially since I'm not all that great in describing myself in a few paragraphs since I'm much deeper than that. If you have any recommendations on how to make this more descriptive, please say so. I won't bite.

I recently moved to Broomfield from Fort Collins where I got my bachelors degree at Colorado State University. I found my first 'real' job down here that I really like, which is exciting.

A short "laundry list" of some of my interests in no particular order:
- Movies
- Traveling I'm really interested in this one, but haven't been able to much recently which is unfortunate
- Photography - I just got a new digital SLR for X-Mas, which is really exciting for me

- Computers

- Target Shooting - mainly rifle, but also some pistol. I haven't fired a shotgun yet though

Both my dad and I love Halloween. Each year we decorate the house well and try out new things that we can use to scare trick or treaters with. *evil grin*

A few interesting points about myself:
- Born in southern California, though don't consider myself a californian.
- Lived in Minnesota for 5 years
- Moved to Colorado in 2000 and have lived here since.
- I have my scuba diving certification and *really* want to get out there and use it somewhere fantastic. Unfortunately, Colorado doesn't really lend itself very well to it...
- I built my own computer and have been upgrading it myself ever since
- I am handy around the house and can fix a lot of things. I am an engineer after all
- My dad is an engineer, my uncle is an engineer, my grandpa worked on the Apollo project. We have a bit of a line of engineers in my family.

I believe in equality for everyone, no matter their skin color, origins, income level, sex, religion, etc. I don't believe that any group should get special privileges though. For example, I don't believe that a man should be required to take the first step in a relationship, nor required to pay for dinner, or required to open the door for a lady, etc.. Notice, I said *required.* I tend to do the last two anyway because I'm just like that I guess.

I'm not really one to jump into a relationship with a woman. I'd much prefer to take things slow, at our own pace. Don't be pressured by societal rules to move a relationship forward at a pace you/we aren't comfortable with. We're looking for someone to spend the rest of our lives with, why should we rush it or be pressured by what society expects of us?

I sold my computer business 4 years ago tired of the high tech world and the disconnectedness technology can cause if we are not careful. I have been traveling back and forth across the US, five times so far, exploring, writing about, and photographing national parks, state parks, national seashores, wildlife refuges, and other places of natural interest in a land being overly developed. I am finished with a book I am writing and looking for a publisher. It is about my travels around America and the wonderful people I meet along the way. The natural world is most mesmerizing to me, much more so than the commercial world of cities and suburban malls. We spend way too much time consuming and if we think about what that word really means we recognize that we are consuming the earth and causing the environmental degradation that is problematic. I hope to encourage other people, through my writing and photography, to appreciate and take care of the beautiful and fragile natural world Mother Nature and God has provided.

Two of my life's beliefs "It's not the destination, it is the journey" and "Be happy, it's a choice." I have always designed the life I have wanted. I take time to enjoy the grand things that we all notice and also those small things that many people miss as they go about their busy lives.

I am fresh out of college, currently a daycare teacher that has recently been accepted to Ross University Medical School. I have a degree in Integrative Physiology with a minor in Linguistics. I write songs, draw, paint, I love to show my creative side, one of those Bohemian types I guess. I'm always up for trying something new, whether it is a new dance or a new sport, I'll try almost anything at least once. I'm ambitious, smart, and always try to find some way to make my life a little different, a little more exciting. I love indie music, punk, and classic rock. My favorite bands are Rilo Kiley, Death Cab for Cutie, the Sex Pistols, the Flaming Lips, AC/DC, Ray LaMontagne, and the Kinks. My favorite songs are the ones that are simple, sweet, and perhaps sometimes a little sad, my current favorite is Cat Steven's "The Wind." I'm here with an open mind, but don't be suprised if I try some sarcastic, witty humor on you, I'm a sucker for sarcasm and wit. That having been said, don't be suprised if I follow it with a really stupid question, because as my sister once told me, "you're the stupidest smart person I know." Common sense isn't always my strongest trait. Maybe I shouldn't have even said that. Huh.

I think you can find out a lot about someone's personality from the movies they watch, so here are some of my favorites: Anchorman, Jackie Brown, Grindhouse: Death Proof, Knocked Up, Juno, Lars and the Real Girl, and Pride and Prejudice for my sappy side. As for tv shows I like, if you like the cartoon "Home Movies," The Office (Brittish or American), Freaks and Geeks, 30 Rock, Arrested Development, Chuck, or you're as heartbroken as I am that Pushing Daisies went off the air, then we'll get along just fine : )

Who am I looking for you ask as you are drawn in to my oh-so-charming description and irresistable photos? Someone to laugh with of course, someone I can be a dork with, and someone that makes something as simple as watching a favorite show together a memorable experience. If you tell me a joke so great i get jealous i didn't think of it first you'll be my best friend, and if you punch me in the arm I'll punch you back harder.

I truly beleive everyone has baggage and drama and shouldn't be judged for it, it's what makes us human beings. I think that what matters most is our ability to work through it, learn from it, and not carry a chip on our shoulder because of it. When drama finds me, I work through it, I don't burry it down deep because I've learned that only makes it worse. I am a big communicator and expect the same in return. Okay, that's all.

I enjoy anything physical.... I train ninjutsu, brazilian juijutsu, muy thai, working out, jogging, running, jump rope, swimming, wrestling, arm wrestling and snowboarding. I have a cabin, am in college, again, studying for an architectural engineering degree. I have one son, who is 4 yrs old, Donovan... I enjoy hunting, hiking, mountain climbing, shooting guns, which I can do whenever, partying, meeting new peeps, laughing/jkoking, watching movies, especially, reading books and spending time with my son... I want to Find someone who likes me for who I am. Which they would actually have to give me a try to see whats up! But I do know that it takes more than one little encounter to get to know someone but when it comes to first impressions, if you dont get scared away, I am the one worth while to get to know better... Well... I am 27 yrs old. All my life I have had a love for music. I learned the piano at a very early age and later got into Trombone, Trumpet, Baritone, and Drums. At 16 I bought a mobile DJ setup and provided a low cost entertainment package for weddings parties and school dances. After high school I went to a tech school and graduated with an Associates of Science in Recording Arts and also an AS in Show Production. In the future I hope to go back and get my Bachelors Degree in Entertainment Business.

Hey every one. Im Josh. Not totally sure on what I want to say here, but I'll give it my best shot. I currently graduated and got my associates degree from Lincoln College of Technology in Denver Co. to be an auto mechanic. I'm a pretty outgoing guy around the right person/people. I'm usually a lil shy at meeting new people but warm up quickly once i get to know you. I'll do pretty much anything that sounds fun or interesting. I'm almost always up for trying somethin new. I enjoy working on cars/trucks (mainly Fords), goin hunting(but more for the camping part of it then the hunting part), the outdoors, camping, 4 wheeling, playin sports with family and friends, bike riding, running and just pretty much getting out and doing something. I have been told that I have a dry sense of humor. My sense of humor is not hurtful and though I may say offensive jokes, I will try not to offend someone directly. Umm im a fun outdoors type guy that is usually do something to keep me occupied. i recently moved to colorado from Arizona about 2 years ago to be around the family. I was a firefighter in az but now im just trying to finish school and get on to a department up here.

So I am this brainy, feisty girl from the beach towns of Southern California who -- despite her bohemian leanings, eclectic interests and love of the outdoors -- trapped herself in Corporate America, and is none too happy about it these days...despite the travel to exotic locations, big deals (big deal) and corporate intrigue.
